Kailash Soni Biography

Kailash Soni was born on November 4, 1950, in Kareli, Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh, to Baboolal Soni and Girjabai Soni.

In April 2018, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha. Subsequently, from June 2018 to May 2019, and then again from September 2019 onwards, he served as a Member of the Committee on Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Food Processing.

In addition to his parliamentary duties, Soni has served on several consultative committees, including the Ministry of Defence from November 2020 onwards, and the Ministry of Food Processing Industries from October 2019 to October 2020, showcasing his commitment to addressing critical issues facing the nation.

Prior to his parliamentary tenure, Soni was involved in a range of educational, cultural, and social activities through organisations like Navjagriti Mandal, where he facilitated various events including 'kavi sammelans,' 'mushairas,' youth 'sammelans,' 'sahitya sammelans,' and sports activities at the national level. He also demonstrated his intellectual prowess by participating in national-level debates on Kalidas and contributing articles to newspapers and magazines.

Outside of politics, Soni has contributed to the financial sector as President of the District Cooperative Central Bank Ltd.
