Kailash Gahlot

Kailash Gahlot, born on 22 July 1974 in Mitraun village, Najafgarh, comes from a family that has served the people of the area for over nine generations. His journey into public service began with a strong commitment to philanthropy, education, and entrepreneurship aimed at social change. Known for his focus on human development, particularly for the youth and underprivileged, Gahlot has made significant contributions to his community.







Professionally, Mr Gahlot built a successful career as an advocate, practicing in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court for over 16 years. His legal expertise gained him a wide range of clients across sectors, and he was elected as a Member Executive in the Bar Association of the High Court of Delhi from 2005 to 2007.







In February 2015, Gahlot won his first election to the Delhi Legislative Assembly, representing the Najafgarh constituency. His success led to his appointment as a Cabinet Minister in the Delhi government, where he currently oversees multiple portfolios, including Administrative Reforms, Transport, Revenue, Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Women and Child Development, and Information & Technology.
