Satyendar Jain was the Minister of Health, Industries, Power, Public Works Department, Home, and Urban Development in Delhi. He was elected to the Delhi Assembly from the Shakur Basti constituency in February 2015.

Initially, Jain began his career as an architect with the Central Public Works Department (CPWD). However, he later decided to leave that position to establish his own architectural consultancy firm.

Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in various social service initiatives and groups. In 2011, Jain became deeply engaged in the Jan Lokpal Movement against corruption, which inspired him to leave his professional career to pursue this cause wholeheartedly.

A key aspect of Jain's vision for the healthcare sector is the universalisation of primary healthcare through mohalla clinics, which are community health centres. Currently, over 160 mohalla clinics are operational, with hundreds more in various stages of development, aimed at improving healthcare access for all.

In 2022, Jain was arrested in connection with corruption charges and was released in October 2024.
