Koduri Venkata Vijayendra Prasad, better known as V. Vijayendra Prasad was born on February 1, 1943, in Kovvur to Koduri Apparao and Koduri Achyamma.
He is a prominent Indian film screenwriter and director renowned for his contributions to Telugu cinema and Bollywood.
In 2011, he directed 'Rajanna,' which earned the prestigious Nandi Award for Best Feature Film. Since 1988, Prasad has penned scripts for over 25 films, many of which achieved blockbuster status. Notable among his works are 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
In 2022, Vijayendra Prasad entered politics and was nominated to the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament.
Vijayendra Prasad is married to Raja Nandini and is the proud parent of two children. He is the father of filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli and the uncle of renowned music composers M. M. Keeravani, M.M. Srilekha, Kalyani Malik, and writer S.S. Kanchi.
