Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed was an Indian lawyer and politician, who served as the 5th president of India.
He was the second Muslim President of India and also the second President of India, who died in office.
His father Col. Zalnur Ali Ahmed the first Assamese person to have an M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) degree.
Another side, his mother Sahibzadi Ruqaiyya Sultan, who was a daughter of the Nawab of Loharu.
Besides, he was interested in sports as well, he served as the president of the Assam Cricket Association and the Assam Football Association.
