Born in 1996, Debangshu Bhattacharya is a social activist and politician with the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).
Debangshu began his political journey with student politics, becoming an active member of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad, the party's student wing and has served as a General Secretary of the Trinamool Youth Congress. He played a significant role in the 2021 Assembly elections, leading Trinamool Congress' social media campaign.
In 2022, he was appointed the head of the party's social media and IT cell. Debangshu also serves as the state spokesperson for Trinamool, frequently representing the party in TV debates and talk shows.
In 2024, he contested his first Lok Sabha election from Tamluk on a TMC ticket but lost to BJP’s Abhijit Gangopadhyay. He continues to play an active role in youth engagement and digital strategy within the party.
