He was named Minister of State of the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He started his career as College Lecturer in 1971. He served in Govt. College Sirohi, Dausa and Ajmer from 1971-1977. He joined Rajasthan Administrative Services in 1978. He served as S.D.M, Addl. Collector and Addl. District Magistrate at various places in the State. He was awarded with Merit Certificate in 1988 by the Govt. of Rajasthan in the State level function of 15th August by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. He also worked as HoD and Director – Lotteries, Government of Rajasthan from 1996-1997. He was the director of Local Bodies under the Government of Rajasthan from 1997-2000. HoD andExecutive Director – Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation from 2000 to 2001. HoD and Director – Agriculture Marketing from 2001-2002. Served as Member RPSC till 2006 Chairman of Rajasthan Public Service Commission from 2006-2010
