Ajay Misra

Ajay Misra, born on September 25th, 1960, in Banveer Pur in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, is an esteemed Indian politician and a prominent Member of Parliament in the 17th Lok Sabha, representing the Kheri constituency under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) banner.

He was first elected to the Lok Sabha from the same constituency in the 2014 general elections. Before making a place at the national level politics, he served in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Nighasan.

The ruling party has again nominated him to contest the election from the Lakhimpur Kheri Lok Sabha seat in the forthcoming general elections.

He has a keen interest in promoting health awareness among rural youth and has actively participated in sports such as cricket, powerlifting, and wrestling. His athletic prowess has earned him numerous accolades at both the university and district levels.

In addition to his sporting achievements, Ajay Misra has dedicated himself to social causes. He has organised various sports competitions, including wrestling, cricket, and powerlifting, to engage and empower the youth.
