C. M. Ramesh came into this world on 12 June 1965 in Potladurthi village of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, the son of Muniswamy Naidu and Rathnamma. He started Rithwik Projects Private Limited in 1999, which later became a major infrastructure developer in the sectors of energy, roads, irrigation, and real estate.
By way of the CMSN Trust that he established, Ramesh has been very active in social welfare throughout Andhra Pradesh. Apart from building and gifting more than 300 houses to economically weaker sections of the society, he has also been involved in medical camps organisation, installation of RO drinking water plants, RWA activities in sanitation, and providing financial assistance to students for education.
He became a member of Parliament in 2012 through the Rajya Sabha and was re-elected in 2018. He ran for the Lok Sabha after his second term, which ends in 2024, and won the Anakapalle seat on a Telugu Desam Party ticket.
As of 2025, he still he continues to serve as the elected Member of Parliament. The father of two boys and married to C. R. Sridevi, he is also a cricket and badminton lover, apart from being a politician.
