Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury is an Indian Politician and a Member of 17th Lok Sabha from West Bengal.
Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury was born on 12th January 1938 in a Bengali family. He started his political career in 1996. He is affiliated with the Indian National Congress (INC) political party and currently serves as a member of the 17th Lok Sabha. On the education front, he completed his studies at the University of Calcutta. Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury represents the Maldaha Dakshin constituency of West Bengal since 2009. He was the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare in the UPA II government. His brother A B A Ghani Khan Chowdhury (1927-2006) was also a Congress politician and a minister in Central Government.
