A. Manjunath

Manjunath‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is an Indian politician from Karnataka, India. He is one of the senior members of the Janata Dal(Secular) party. After the 2018 assembly election, he has been a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the Magadi constituency. He won the election by a very large margin. A leader who has emerged from the ground and has a very strong support of the locals, he has been in the public service and the development of the constituency.

In the 2023 elections, he was a candidate from Magadi again. His political career is a perfect example of party organisation and regional governance, which he has been deeply engaged with ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌continuously.

A.‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Manjunath came into the world on 21 May 1974 in Ramanagara, Karnataka. After growing up there, he acquired the taste for public service during his formative years. Manjunath went on to complete his studies and later transitioned from the Janata Dal (Secular) to the political sector in the Magadi area.

At the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election, Manjunath appeared for the Magadi constituency as a JD(S) candidate and scored a landslide victory by 51,425 votes, thus making his debut in the state legislature and asserting himself as a political force in local politics. During his tenure, he was largely devoted to the district issues such as the construction of the area, the improvement of the public services and the gaining of the trust of the voters in the constituency.

Manjunath ran for the 2023 state assembly election from Magadi once more and was determined to bring the local people’s issues to the political arena and serve as their voice. His years of work among the people at the bottom of the social ladder reflect his pledge to care for his native place and expand his party’s influence in the district.

As of the year 2025, he is still performing his party duty and taking part in events where he can persuade people and discuss politics and other issues of society at the local ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌level.
