Tapir Gao

Tapir Gao was first elected to the 14th Lok Sabha from the Arunachal East constituency. He lost the ensuing elections in 2009 and 2014 against INC candidate Ninong Ering. He is the BJP president of Arunachal Pradesh. In 2019, he contested and won the Arunachal East Lok Sabha seat. He will contest from the same place for the BJP in the 18th general elections.
Currently, he is a Member of the Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Additionally, he is a Member of the Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture. Furthermore, he is a Member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.

Tapir Gao was born to Tapor Gao and Yamot Gao at Molom in West Siang on 1st October 1964. He married Dui Gao in 1990 and was blessed with three children.
