Supriya Sadanand Sule is an active politician from Maharashtra. She is the daughter of the President of the Nationalist Congress Party, Sharad Pawar. She won the parliamentary election from Baramati. The seat was previously retained by her father. With a degree in microbiology, Supriya Sule had done a stint in the scientific block before entering the political fray. She spent some time in California, where she studied water pollution at UC Berkeley.

In 2011, she launched a statewide campaign against female foeticide- an act of deliberately killing the fetus outside the bounds of legal methods like resorting to physical abuse with intent to harm.
On 5 Feb 2015, she was appointed as a Member of Committee on Empowerment of Women.
On 1 Sep. 2014, she became a member of Standing Committee on External Affairs, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Finance & Corporate Affairs and Indian Parliamentary Group Executive Committee for the Year 2014 - 2015. On 11 Dec 2014, she became a member of Joint Committee on Offices of Profit.
Sule retained her seat for a second term in the 16th Lok Sabha elections by defeating Mahadev Jagannath Jankar of RSP by a margin of 69,719 votes.
She was elected in the 15th Lok Sabha from Baramati in Maharashtra where she defeated Kanta Jaysing Nalawade of BJP by a margin of 3,36,831 votes.
Sule was elected as the member of Rajya Sabha.
