Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu

Sukhvinder​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Singh Sukhu is a leader of the Indian National Congress party from the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. He was born in Hamirpur on 27 March 1964. Sukhvinder came into the news because of the news of his father, a government employee, dying when he was young, and his family was left with no means. He did his schooling in the hill state, and while studying in college, he took up student politics.

After being elected as the president of the NSUI Himachal Pradesh unit, he took office in the NSUI and the board. He was recognized as a leader and organization crasher, and he was arrested by the mainstream political party and its leader.

He grabbed his first chance of being a politician when he won an M.L.A. seat from Nadaun, Himachal Pradesh Territorial Legislative Assembly in 2003, and later in 2007 and 2012, he won again consecutively Hardy dwelling. In 2017, he was defeated, yet he still had the strength of the Congress organisation inside, and he could really do a lot there when he became the President of the Himachal Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee (2013–2019). Two years down the line, the election of the 2022 Assembly from Nadaun showed that he made a great comeback to politics and subsequently, as a matter of fact, he was chosen as the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh in a general way without any objection.

During his official working life as Chief Minister, he and his government have been concerned with money issues and reforms have restored the old pension scheme, relief of the calamity, and a rebuild, and development of the rural infrastructure and governance reforms. As of 2025, he is still in charge of the state ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌government.
