A renowned Indian politician and president of Shiromani Akali Dal, a Sikh political party, Sukhbir Singh Badal has served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab from 2009-2017. He is the son of Prakash Singh Badal who has been a reigning Chief Minister of Punjab. He has completed his education from The Lawrence School, Sanawar and his higher studies from Punjab University Chandigarh from 1980-1984 and an M.B.A from California State University, Los Angeles, United States.
