P K Krishna Das is an Indian politician and former BJP State President of Kerala. He was born on 20 July 1963 at Thiruvangad, Thalassery in Kannur district, Kerala. After one year in his professional life, he left the school teaching profession and went into politics. In the course of his political career with the Bharatiya Janata Party, he was in the top positions like Yuvamorcha Mandalam General Secretary, Yuvamorcha District Vice President, Yuvamorcha District President, Yuvamorcha State Secretary, Yuvamorcha State Vice President, Yuvamorcha State President, BJP State Secretary and BJP State General Secretary.
In 2003, he was made General Secretary of the BJP Kerala, which was literally a grand political move in his career. On November 05, 2006, he took over as State President of the BJP Kerala, a position he occupied till 2010. Thus, he not only expanded the party's organisational network throughout the state but also rose to be one of the leading figures.
Krishna Das was the BJP candidate for the 14th Lok Sabha election from Thiruvananthapuram in 2009. He was pitted against Shashi Tharoor of the Indian National Congress and P. Ramachandran Nair of CPI. In addition, he ran for the Kerala Assembly elections from Kattakada in 2011 and 2016 and for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Thrissur. He did not win any of the elections, but his repeated candidacies are proof of his being the core of the party’s electoral strategy.
By 2025, PK Krishna Das is still going strong with his BJP organisational labour, participates in the leadership discussions at the state level, and attends party programs and functions. His veteran experience and his association with the party will always be his strength to carry him through and be among the most respected in Kerala politics.
