Krishan Pal Gurjar was born to Hans Raj and Sunhero Devi in Mevla Maharajpur, District Faridabad (Haryana), on 4 February 1957.
In his political career, Krishan Pal Gurjar has held several key positions. On 9 June 2024, he was appointed as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Cooperation. In the same month, he was elected to the 18th Lok Sabha. Since 7 July 2021, he has served as the Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of Heavy Industries. From 30 May 2019 to 7 July 2021, he was the Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Prior to this, he was re-elected to the 17th Lok Sabha in May 2019, marking his second term.
Krishan Pal Gurjar's earlier roles include serving as the Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment from 9 November 2014 to 25 May 2019. Before that, from 27 May 2014 to 9 November 2014, he was the Union Minister of State in the Ministries of Road Transport and Highways, and Shipping. His tenure in the Lok Sabha began with his election to the 16th Lok Sabha in May 2014.
Before his parliamentary career, Krishan Pal Gurjar was deeply involved in state politics. He was the President of the Haryana State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2009 to 2013. He also served as a Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly for three terms, from 1996 to 2005 and again from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, he held the position of Transport Minister in the Government of Haryana from 1996 to 1999.
