A prominent film actress in the south Indian fraternity, khushbu aka Nakhat Khan forayed into movies in 1980. For the next two decades, she galvanized her presence in the industry, predominantly in the south as an exceptional artist of that day and age. In the course of her acting span, she has been a part of over 200 movies if different languages and genres. Her versatility has made her into one of the most beloved stars in the south who has an array of products named after her. She plunged into politics in 2010 when she joined DMK. She quit the party in 2014 and joined Congress. She was the National Spokesperson of the Congress party. In October 2020, she resigned from Congress and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
