He was elected to the 17th Lok Sabah from the Ahmednagar constituency in Maharashtra on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket in the 2019 general elections.
He is a member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and also a member of the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare.
Apart from this, he is the Chief Executive Officer of the Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation.
