Dr. Amee Yajnik, born on July 27, 1959, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a distinguished figure in the fields of law, women's empowerment, and environmental activism. She is the Founder Member and Former President of the All India Federation of Women Lawyers.

She has devoted her legal expertise pro bono to advocating for women's rights and conducting legal awareness programs at the grassroots level.

She was elected to the Rajya Sabha in April 2018 and serves as a member of various prestigious committees, including the Global Action Committee for Elimination of Family Violence and the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom India Section. Additionally, she is a member of the Complaints Committee for sexual harassment of women at Workplace, High Court of Gujarat, and Women Cell, Doordarshan, Prasar Bharti, Ahmedabad.

Her academic contributions extend to institutions such as I.I.M. Ahmedabad, Nirma Institute of Management, and others, where she is a visiting and guest faculty member. She has even presented papers and spoken at prestigious venues such as the Central European University at Budapest, Haas School of Business, University of Berkeley, and the World Summit on Sustainable Development, Johannesburg. She has also served as a Special Invitee to Kuala Lumpur for the International Task Force on Women and Information and Communications Technology.

She is a co-author of the book "Electricity Reforms in India" and various published articles on law, society, and the environment.
