Deepak Joshi is a senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Madhya Pradesh and a former three-term Member of the Legislative Assembly. He represents the Hatpipliya Assembly constituency and has been deeply involved with the state's electoral and organisational politics for more than twenty years. Joshi, however, decided to establish his own independent political identity by consistent legislative work despite being the son of ex Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kailash Joshi.
Deepak Joshi was raised politically through the BJP youth wing and was very active in student and youth, led political initiatives during those years. His involvement at the grassroots level and his experience in organisation prepared him well for the challenge of mainstream electoral politics.
He got his first mandate in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2008 and has since been re, elected in 2013 and 2018, thus, he has been an MLA from Hatpipliya for three consecutive terms. In his legislative journey, he was also brought into the Madhya Pradesh Council of Ministers, where he held the position of Minister of State, Managing Technical Education, Skill Development, and Employment, and he was mainly in charge of vocational training and youth employability.
Moreover, Deepak Joshi holds a B.Com and LL.B degree. Professionally, he is a small entrepreneur and runs his businesses alongside his public career.
