C. C. Patil, whose full name is Chandrakanthgowda Channappagowda Patil, is a senior politician from Karnataka and a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He built his political career through grassroots public engagement in north Karnataka and gradually emerged as an influential regional figure within the party structure.

He has represented the Nargund Assembly constituency and became known for his sustained electoral presence in the region. Through repeated public outreach, constituency work, and legislative participation, he established himself as one of the recognised BJP leaders from Gadag district and surrounding areas.

Patil has held several ministerial responsibilities in the Government of Karnataka. During the ministry led by D. V. Sadananda Gowda, he served as Minister for Women and Child Development. Later, in the cabinet led by B. S. Yediyurappa, he handled portfolios connected to Mines and Geology, Commerce and Industries, as well as Ecology and Environment, reflecting the confidence placed in him within successive BJP governments.

From 4 August 2021, he served as Minister for Public Works Department in Karnataka, a significant infrastructure-related portfolio involving roads, buildings, and state development works. His tenure further enhanced his standing as a senior administrator in the state government.
