Hitu Kanodia, or Hitesh Kanodia as his complete name goes, was born and raised in a family that had close contacts with the Gujarati film and political circles. He is the offspring of the actor-politician Naresh Kanodia and the cousin of Mahesh Kanodia, who are both well-known and admired in the political and entertainment areas of Gujarat.

His first steps into the public eye were through his illustrious career in Gujarati cinema, where he acted in more than 100 films over the years. He started very young in the film industry, playing the role of a child artist, and then he went on to become a leading actor in the regional films.
