Primarily an agriculturist, Bharatsinhji Shankarji Dabhi is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He contested and won the 12th, 13th, and 14th assembly elections from the Kheralu constituency in Gujarat.

Later, he was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha election from the Patan parliamentary constituency in 2019. Therefore, the BJP has nominated him to contest elections from the same constituency for the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Currently, he is a member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.

Bharatsinhji Shankarji Dabhi was born to Shankarji and Gangaben at Dabhoda in the Mahesana district of Gujarat on 18th March 1955.
