Anoop Dhanak is a politician from Haryana who has been active in regional politics for over a decade. He entered electoral politics as a member of the Indian National Lok Dal and was elected to the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Uklana constituency in 2014.
He was re-elected in 2019 and later became part of a major political shift when he joined Dushyant Chautala’s Jannayak Janata Party following a split in the INLD. His move played a role in shaping the political realignment in Haryana during that period.
In the coalition government led by Manohar Lal Khattar, he was appointed Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Archaeology and Museums as well as Labour and Employment in 2019. His tenure marked his entry into executive governance at the state level.
Ahead of the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, he left the JJP and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, he lost the election in the Uklana constituency, marking a setback in his political career.
As of 2026, he continues to be involved in Haryana politics, with his career reflecting multiple party shifts and participation in both legislative and ministerial roles.
