K. Annamalai stands at the forefront of political and social change in Tamil Nadu, adorned with multifaceted roles that reflect his commitment to service and leadership. Annamalai is the Chief Servant of We The Leaders Foundation and a Co-founder of CoRE Talent and Leadership Development.

Annamalai's journey into public service began with his remarkable achievement in the civil service examination, leading to his selection as an officer in the prestigious Indian Police Service (IPS) within the Karnataka cadre. His tenure in the service was marked by notable distinctions, including the receipt of the 'Espirts-De-Corps' Award and the Sangay Lhaden Shenga Award during his training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA).

As an IPS Officer, Annamalai served in pivotal roles across Karnataka, notably as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Udupi and Chikkamagaluru Districts, and later as the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Bangalore South. His experiences and insights garnered during his service culminated in the publication of his book, 'Stepping Beyond Khaki,' offering a firsthand account of his journey and the challenges faced in law enforcement.

Driven by a vision to foster grassroots leadership and societal development, Annamalai made the pivotal decision to resign from the IPS service. This catalysed the establishment of We The Leaders Foundation, an NGO dedicated to initiatives focusing on organic farming, job-focused skill development, and fostering dialogue for development.

In August 2020, Annamalai embarked on a new chapter by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, swiftly ascending to the role of State President of BJP-Tamil Nadu, marking him as the youngest to hold such a position within the party's hierarchy.

He will contest the election under the BJP banner from the Coimbatore Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 general election. As per the latest The Times Now-ETG_Research Survey, a notable shift in the state's political landscape, with the BJP emerging as a significant contender. Annamalai's leadership propels the BJP to second place in Tamil Nadu's upcoming elections, with a predicted 19% vote share, trailing behind the DMK

Meanwhile, according to the Dinamalar survey, the BJP is projected to lead comfortably with 39.70 per cent of the votes, followed by the DMK with 27.90 per cent, ADMK with 26.50 per cent, and NTK with 5.90 per cent.

His academic prowess, with a background in engineering and management, coupled with his extensive experience in public service, underscores his capacity for dynamic leadership and transformative change.

Beyond his professional endeavours, Annamalai's personal life reflects his values of family and commitment. Born on June 4th, 1984, to Kuppusamy and Parameshwari in Karur, he married Akila S. Nathan, with whom he shares the joy of raising their son.
