Amarendra Dhari Singh was born on 10 November 1959 in Patna, Bihar. He belongs to a prominent family from the Paliganj subdivision of Patna district. His parents were Pratap Dhari Singh and Urmila Singh, and he spent his early years in Bihar before pursuing higher education in Delhi.
He completed his higher education at Kirori Mal College, affiliated with the University of Delhi. Following his studies, Singh became involved in business and entrepreneurial ventures, particularly in the real estate and chemical sectors, which later formed the foundation of his financial and professional career.
