A Ganeshamurthi Biography

A. Ganeshamurthi, affiliated with the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(MDMK), serves as MP for the third consecutive term, representing Erode, Tamil Nadu. He is a Member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and in the Ministry of Communications.

Before his national role, he was a Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Born on June 10, 1947, in Ulgapuram, Erode district, to Avinashi and Sarathambal, he is married to Balamani and has two children.

He died at the age of 77 on 28th March 2024 due to cardiac arrest following a suspected suicide attempt. He consumed poison after being denied a ticket for the 18th Lok Sabha election.
