Vijaya Prabhakaran

Vijaya Prabhakaran was born on 13 December 1990 in Tamil Nadu to actor-politician Captain Vijayakanth and Premalatha Vijayakanth. His early experience of party events and community outreach activities, which he observed through his family's political activities, taught him about the fundamental aspects of grassroots political work.

Prabhakaran dedicated his time to youth initiatives and DMDK leader activities throughout his school period, which lasted from 1996 to 2005. His dedication to organizational activities increased during his late teenage years, which lasted from 2006 to 2010, because he wanted to understand how political parties developed their strategies and managed their members.

Between 2011 and 2024, Prabhakaran advanced through organizational ranks while he managed regional political work and assisted with election campaigns. The time period involved preparation for his first election, which he ran for in 2024 when he contested the Lok Sabha election from Virudhunagar as a DMDK candidate.

In 2025, the DMDK party appointed him as Youth Wing Secretary, which demonstrated their intention to make him a key leader for future party leadership and to boost youth participation throughout Tamil Nadu.

Vijaya Prabhakaran maintains his position as Youth Wing Secretary while he serves as a top organizational leader for DMDK, who takes part in developing strategies and state election campaign preparations.
