Siraj Uddin Ajmal Biography

Born in Nagaon District of Assam, Sirajuddin Ajmal is a member of parliament to the 16th Lok Sabha from Barpeta (Lok Sabha constituency). He successfully contested the Indian general election, 2014, as All India United Democratic Front candidate. He is also one of the Director of Ajmal Foundation (NGO). The NGO is actively involved in Social Welfare Activities in the state of Assam, India. The AIUDF leader married Munira Sirajuddin Ajmal and the couple has 3 sons. He completed his graduation from Wilson College, Mumbai University.

Siraj Uddin Ajmal Achievements

His foundation, Ajmal Foundation, has announced cash award of Rs 10,000 each to rank holders of HSLC & AHM to develop the students' community. The foundation has also launched Academic and Professional Coaching Programmes, Employment Generation Projects, Women Empowerment Schemes and Merit Scholarships. It helps the people by providing medical aids, marriage aids, safe drinking water. Under the leadership of Sirajuddin Ajmal, low cost house scheme and sanitation scheme have been introduced. Ajmal Foundation also has future plans of setting up Ajmal University, Ajmal Engineering College, Ajmal College of Education, Ajmal College of Pharmacy for the poor and downtrodden.
