Passed Fazil Examination, 1975 from Darul Uloom Deoland, UP.

He is known to provide modern education and skill training to Madrassa graduates. He runs Markarul Maarif Eudcation and Research Centre, Mumbai. The organisation imparts English language training and research skills to Madrassa students. He has also established Mariyam Ajmal Women`s College of Science and Technology, Hojai, Assam. The college facilitates women's education. Badruddin Ajmal was the president of Hojai session reception committee of Assam Sahitya Sabha.

He was conferred the title of Sir Syed of North East by Justic M.S. A. Siddiqui in Dec. 2013 for outstanding works in the field of education specially in North East. He is actively involved in politics for doing service to the common man, a platform which, he believes, can change the face and future of any country, especially the poor and the needy. Actively associated with several educational, cultural and social institutions in rural and remote areas.
