Charubala Tondaiman Biography

Former Mayor of Tiruchirapalli Sarubala was an active member of INC. She severed ties with Tamil Maanila Congress and joined AIADMK in 2016. Following her tenure as Mayor which spanned between 2001-2009, she contested and lost in the 2009 and 2014 Lok Sabha elections against P. Kumar of ADMK. She presently serves as Joint Convenor of the Movement for the Restoration of Vedic Wisdom.
