Sanjay Kumar Bandi

Bandi​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Sanjay Kumar is a Telangana politician born on 11 July 1971. His political career began when he was a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Swayamsevak, and soon after, he became a student leader in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad by attending various functions and taking different roles in the organisation. His early political work helped him build a strong network at the local and district levels.

Gradually, he got into electoral politics through local governance, and after he was elected a Corporator in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation in 2005, he got noticed. Within the Bharatiya Janata Party, his promotion went on one after another, and he became one of the party’s major leaders in Telangana. His win at the 2019 Lok Sabha election from Karimnagar was his big breakthrough, which made him a force to reckon with both at the state and national levels.

He continued to be entrusted with key organisational responsibilities like being the BJP Telangana’s President and later becoming a National General Secretary. In 2024, he was designated Union Minister of State for Home Affairs. Apart from this, he is still very much alive in his constituency-level work and has kept up his national political ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌responsibilities.
