Sandeep‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Saurav is a youth political leader of the communist party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation (CPI(ML)(L)) and an MLA from Paliganj constituency, Patna district, Bihar. Holding a Ph.D. degree in Hindi from JNU, he is a rare combination of academic depth and grassroots activism, and leftist politics. With his assets declared to be close to ₹22.5 lakh, he is regarded as a new and fresh face of the youth leading the way to progress in Bihar.

Sandeep‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Saurav was roughly 1988 born in Maner, Patna district, Bihar, to a small farming family. After doing his bachelor's degree from Patna University, he went to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, from where he got an M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Hindi. The years of Saurav at JNU were not only educational, but he was also involved in student agitation and left movement, which helped him to build not only his ideology but also his voice in the public sphere.

He was in the CPI(ML)(L) when he went into politics first, and he ran for the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections from the Paliganj constituency and won by a big margin. He became a loud voice for education reform, youth empowerment, and equality. His scholarly accomplishments are still a source of his political insight; thus, he is one of those few politicians of Bihar whose academic background sets them apart from others in the political scene.
