Hamro Sikkim Party (HSP) vice president Ran Bahadur Subba won from Soreong-Chakung (West) in 2009. He was one of the founder members of the Sikkim Democratic Front. He served in as minister of various ministries in the state government. Recently he was sacked from SDF. Now he is planning to come up with a new political party.

• 2018: Ran Bahadur Subba has been nominated as the coordinator of the committee for the upcoming launch of Hamro Sikkim Party in the State.
• 2017: Sikkim Democratic Front expelled one of its founder member Ran Bahadhur Subba. He was charged with anti-party activities.
• 2013: He again won assembly election from Soreong-Chakung. This time he defeated Bharati Sharma of SKM.
• 2009: This time he contested from Soreong-Chakung assembly constituency and won. He defeated Nar Bahadur Bhandari of Congress party.
• 2004: He defeated Amar Subba of Congress and again became MLA from Daramdin seat.
• 1999: He was re-elected from Daramdin assembly seat and became MLA from SDF. He defeated Akar Dhoj Subba of SSP.
• 1994: After the 10 years of struggle finally, Ran Bahadur won from Daramdin seat. He dethroned Padam Bahadur Gurung with the huge margin.
• 1989: He again lost against Padam Bahadur Gurung of SSP. After he lost on Congress ticket he joined Sikkim Democratic Front.
• 1985: Ran Bahadur Subba contested his first assembly election in 1985 from Daramdin seat and lost against Padam Bahadur Gurung.
