  • 2013: Finally, he got success after around 20 years and got elected as MLA from Pawai.
  • 2008: Mukesh Nayal did his comeback from Pawai seat but lost against Brijendra Pratap Singh of BJP.
  • 1998: His name was dropped from the candidate list. So he did not contest in 1998 assembly elections. Similarly, he did not contest in 2003 also.
  • 1993: Mukesh Nayak again changed his constituency and contested elections from Pawai seat. And he won with the margin of around 5000 votes. He became Minister of Sports, Education and Youth affairs in Madhya Pradesh Government.
  • 1990: In 1990 Assembly Elections, Nayak contested from Rehli and lost against BJP candidate Gopal Bhargava.
  • 1985: He successfully contested the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election from Damoh on Congress ticket. He defeated BJP's strong candidate Jayant Kumar Malaiya.
  • 1982: He joined as sub-editor in Monthly Magazine National Point in New Delhi.
  • 1978: He was elected as president of Student Union of Government Degree College Damoh and Secretary of Sagar University Student Union.

Mukesh Nayak Achievements

He has been given Madhya Pradesh International level TT city stadium, Excellence School, Excellence College of Bhopal, India's first and only Vedic University, several engineering colleges to the state.

He became the Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Madhya Pradesh twice. Having completed the resolution of making the Red Cross Hospital, he endeavoured to give medical facilities to the poor and the needy.
