Madan Bhaiya

Madan‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Bhaiya is an Indian politician from Uttar Pradesh and a senior leader of the Rashtriya Lok Dal. He is known for his dominant sway in the politics of western Uttar Pradesh, chiefly in Muzaffarnagar district. He is the MLA from Khatauli Assembly constituency and has been charged with the association of farmer movements and defiant political mobilisation at the local level for a large part of the last few decades. He is still an active member of the legislative assembly and the main leader of RLD in the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌area.

Madan‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Bhaiya hails from Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh. He has been a part of politics right from his childhood. Before finally taking part in elections, he made his presence felt in student politics and youth politics across western Uttar Pradesh and became a leader at the grassroots level. Gradually, he made a stronghold of farmers and rural voters, especially in the sugarcane belt of Muzaffarnagar district.

He came to be known for his fierce political style and the way he led the public to protest against issues related to agriculture, law and order, and regional development. Madan Bhaiya not only turned himself into a powerful local leader, but he also kept on raising the issues of his constituency at public gatherings as well as in the legislature. His journey in politics has been through many electoral battles.

At different points in his career, he encountered legal and electoral hurdles, but he was not disheartened and kept himself engaged in politics. The Khatauli by-election, through which he made his comeback to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, was instrumental in bringing his political clout back to life in the recent past. He is still active in politics, a senior RLD legislator, and holds a key position in state politics as of ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌2025.
