Jaskaur Meena Biography

Jaskari Meena is a Member of the Lok Sabha from the Dausa constituency of Rajasthan. She was born on 3rd May, 1947 to Bhagwana Ram Meena and Dhankaur Meena. She married Shrilal Meena in 1967 and has two daughters.
In 1993, she established the "Gramin Mahila Vidyapeeth" in Mainpura village, Sawai Madhopur constituency, to provide education to numerous girls from families lacking educational opportunities. Through collaborative efforts with the community, the Vidyapeeth educates girls from grades I to XII, with the involvement of 4,000 families. Additionally, she has contributed to the field of education as a teacher and educational administrator in the Women and Child Development Department of the Government of Rajasthan.
Her writings include, ‘Samay Ki Ret’, a compilation of poems and ‘Inhen Bhi Janniye,’ a description of National Signs and Symbols.
Apart from doing social work and composing poems, her interest lies in reading and listening to folk music like Marwari songs. In sports, she likes tennis.
