Imkong L Imchen

Imkong​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ L. Imchen is a veteran politician from Nagaland and has a commendable record of public service and administrative leadership. During his career, he has been in charge of major departments in the Nagaland government, such as the Home, Power, and Health departments, and thus, he was seen as a productive administrator and a dominant personality of state politics.

Imchen was initially with the Indian National Congress when he started his political career. Later, he joined the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP). His departure mirrored his increased agreement with the objectives of regional administration and his concentration on development-driven policies for the villages of Nagaland.

He has always placed a strong emphasis on the improvement of the infrastructure, the strengthening of security measures, and the promotion of local self-government through the training of its members.
