• He became a Member, Standing Committee on Rural Development, Member, Tobcco Board, Govt. of India and Member, Chairman, Vizag Special Economic Zone, Vizag, Committee on Official Language on Sep 1, 2014. Also he was appointed as Member of APEDA, Govt. of India and Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.

• Gokaraju Ganga Raju was elected to 16th Lok Sabha in 2014.

He won the Best Exports award in 1981-82 for Ayurvedic Medicines. Received Certificate of GLP Compliance, Deptt. Of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.
