Biography Dr. Kumar Vishwas is a poet, professor, and political figure. He gained a lot of recognition by changing the way and the extent of Hindi poetry. By transforming the traditional Kavi Sammelan performances into fun, widely spaced, cultural happenings, he became one of the literary icons, most notably among the young generation. His poetry is an emotional, nationalistic mix with reflection on society and usage of the most modern, day themes, which has facilitated the Hindi language to reach out to new audiences other than those who are already familiar with the literary circles.
Dr. Kumar Vishwas studied Hindi literature and holds a Masters degree and a PhD in the same field. He started off as a teacher and then went on to become a professor. Along with academic engagements, he was active in literary performance across India and other countries. His proficiency in language and good command of speech played a major role in his being liked as a speaker.
He was a politician later on and an energetic member of the Aam Aadmi Party. In 2014, he was a Lok Sabha candidate from Amethi to represent AAP. Rahul Gandhi was the winner against him. Although the political loss led to his invisibility in the locality, his political adventure made him more visible to the national audience as a public figure.
Dr. Kumar Vishwas was born on 10 February in Pilkhuwa, Uttar Pradesh. His early education was at Lala Ganga Sahay School and Rajputana Regiment Inter College in Pilkhuwa. He is married to Dr. Manju Sharma, a lecturer in Hindi literature, and the couple has two daughters. As of 2025, he continues to remain active in literary, academic, and public discourse.
