Basangouda Patil Yatnal Biography

Professional life:
Basangouda Patil Yatnal is quite old in politics and is currently a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He won the Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections representing Bijapur constituency in 2018 and 2023, respectively. Before that, he served as MLA from the same constituency from 1994 to 1999. He also served as MLC from 2016 to 2018 and a Member of Parliament from 1999 to 2009. Yatnal was also the Minister of State for Railways from 2003 to 2004 and the Minister of State for Textiles from 2002 to 2003.

Basangouda Patil was born on December 13, 1963, at Bijapur to Ramanagouda B. Patil Yatnal and Kashibai R. Patil Yatnal. His wife, Shailaja Basangouda Patil, is involved with social work and dairy farming and the couple has two sons.
