Arvind Dharmapuri

Dharmapuri Arvind, a former cricketer turned politician, currently serves as a Member of Parliament representing Nizamabad, Telangana. Upon assuming office, Arvind launched the Arvind for US helpline, dedicated to addressing the concerns of his constituents efficiently.

Affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arvind has been selected by the party to contest from the same constituency in the upcoming 2024 general elections. He currently holds membership in the consultative Committee in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, contributing to policy deliberations in this domain.

Arvind boasts a noteworthy cricketing career, having played a first-class match for Hyderabad in 1995/96. His passion for cricket extends to various levels, having represented Hyderabad in multiple segments including the Ranji trophy, under 19, 21, 23, 25 categories, and Moin-ud-dowlah, showcasing his proficiency as an Opening Batsman for South India under 19 team.

In his personal life, Arvind is the youngest son of D. Srinivas, a three-time Congress MLA, and comes from a family with a political legacy, with his grandfather, Dharmapuri Venkat Ram, being associated with the Jan Sangh.
