Aashir Sinha Biography

Aashir Sinha, son of Member of Parliament (MP) Jayant Sinha and grandson of former civil servant and stalwart politician Yashwant Sinha, is a multifaceted individual. He is an entrepreneur, actor, and model. With his background in a politically active family, he recently became a member of the grand old party, Congress.

His decision came shortly after his father, Jayant who is a member of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) was not given a ticket to run in the Lok Sabha elections from the Hazaribagh seat, from where he is currently an MP. Instead, the BJP has fielded MLA Manish Jaiswal to against Congress’s Jai Prakash Bhai Patel. The Lok Sabha election in Hazaribagh is scheduled for May 20.

It's noteworthy that this marks the first time since 1998 that no member of Yashwant Sinha’s family is participating in the elections from Hazaribagh.
