Shyam Rangeela Biography

Shyam Rangeela, born on August 25, 1994, in Manaktheri Barani, Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, is an Indian comedian, mimicry artist, and YouTuber. He's famous for imitating Indian politicians like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with others like Rahul Gandhi, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal, and Baba Ramdev.

From his early years, Rangeela displayed a talent for mimicry. He started by imitating his teachers and family members, then moved on to famous actors and politicians, making people laugh with his unique style.

In 2011, he began sharing his mimicry acts on YouTube through his channel "Shyam Rangeela," which has now gathered over 924K subscribers.

He gained many fans with his videos 'Golgappa' in 2015 and 'Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai' in 2016. One of his videos in 2021, where he joked about rising fuel prices, got especially popular.

In 2016, he also appeared on TV shows like 'Mazak Mazak Mein' and 'The Laughter Show.' In 2017, he was on 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' on Star Plus, where he had some rules about imitating politicians.

Besides YouTube and TV, he performed at events like the 'Mayur Utsav' for the Delhi Government in 2018 and teamed up with comedian Suresh Albela for the 'Desi Comedy Tadka' show the same year.

In 2022, he briefly joined the Aam Aadmi Party but later parted ways from it. He decided to run for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat independently against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 general elections. He said he wanted to give people more options in the elections, just in case things weren't fair.

However, the Election Commission rejected his nomination on May 15 on the grounds that his affidavit was incomplete and he did not take the oath. Meanwhile, Shyam Rangeela stated that the EC received his nomination papers after 3 PM on May 14 (the last day for filing nominations), while he was alone. Being a first-time candidate, he was unaware that he had to take an oath.
