Ranjeet Ranjan

Ranjeet‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Ranjan is a senior leader of the Indian National Congress and an Indian politician. She is presently a member of the Rajya Sabha. Ranjeet has been a prominent face of the party through her parliamentary work and participation in various committees. She is widely known as an active member of the parliament who raises her voice in the house debates and addresses the issues of the public.

In 2025, she is still holding her position in the upper house and is also engaged in party and parliamentary ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌work.

Ranjeet‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Ranjan is a senior leader of Congress who has the know-how of the functioning of the parliament as well as of electoral politics. Her career in national parliamentary politics got a major boost in 2018 when she was elected as a Member of the Rajya Sabha, thereby representing the Indian National Congress. Her term was her official induction into the upper chamber of the Parliament.

In her first tenure, she threw herself into the debates of the Parliament and also took up the responsibility of a member on a number of parliamentary committees. She was very vocal in these committees about issues of governance, social justice, and public policy. While she was performing her parliamentary duty, she also kept up her organisational work in the Congress.

In 2019, she went for the Lok Sabha election in the Supaul constituency of Bihar but did not manage to win the seat. After the defeat at the polls, she still carried out her legislative work in the Rajya Sabha and remained involved in national politics.

In 2024, she was given another chance to represent the people in the Upper House of Parliament when she won the Rajya Sabha elections. She is currently serving her term as one of the Members of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), indulges in committee work, and is very much involved in the legislative and party ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌functions.
