Locket Chatterjee, currently serving as the President of the Women's Wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party in West Bengal, has a dynamic political journey. Initially a member of the Trinamool Congress, she transitioned to the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2015.
She successfully contested and won the Hooghly Lok Sabha seat in 2019, and she has been nominated again by the BJP to contest from the same seat in the upcoming 2024 general election.
Beyond politics, Locket Chatterjee is a celebrated actress in the Bengal Film Industry, known for her roles in numerous successful films such as "Ekjon Jhumur" (2002), "Pratisodh" (2004), "Mayer Anchol" (2003), and "Debi" (2005).
Born to Anil Chatterjee, a purohit at Dakshineswar Kali Temple, and Aparna Chatterjee, who introduced her to dance, Locket Chatterjee's early life was influenced by culture and spirituality. She travelled abroad with veteran dancer and actress Mamata Shankar during her school years.

- Appointed as a Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution.
- She contested the Lok Sabha elections from Hoogly Lok Sabha seat against Ratna De and won getting 6,71,448 (46.06%) votes. On 13 September 2019, She was selected as a Member of the Standing Committee on Information Technology and from 9 October 2019 onwards she served as Member of the Committee on Empowerment of Women. Later she became a member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- She replaced Roopa Ganguly as the party president of the women wing in West Bengal.
