Byrathi Suresh

Byrathi​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Suresh was born on 19 July 1972 in Byrathi, a locality of Bengaluru, Karnataka. He changed into a family that had been attached to the place for a long time and considered himself one of them by saying that he was an agriculturist, along with holding the political office. Byrathi Padmavati is his wife, and they brought up two children.

His political career started when he became a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council in 2012. In 2018, he first time went to the polls for the Legislative Assembly from the Hebbal constituency and emerged victorious to the defeat of the incumbent legislator. He continued to gain political clout in city and regional politics due to his focus on solving the urban issues and especially the public infrastructure and the civic amenity problems.

After that, in May 2023, he was chosen as one of the Cabinet Ministers in the Karnataka government headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The Urban Development and Town Planning sectors make up his portfolio, which by nature places him as a go-between in urban infrastructure development, housing, and municipal reforms for big city ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌areas.
