Akbaruddin​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Owaisi is an Indian politician and a top-ranking leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). He has been the face of the political opposition in Telangana for several terms and has been popular with the people and instrumental in the party's success. Due to his deep involvement in the party organization and massive support, he was widely considered a 'king-maker' in the local electoral arena.

His work has mainly been focused on the development of the constituency, the welfare of the minorities, and the growth of the party. In 2025, he made a public statement in which he implied that he might be leaving ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌politics.

Akbaruddin​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Owaisi is the eldest son of the Owaisi family of Hyderabad, a prominent family, and is the major political leader of the Owaisi family. Early in his life, he decided to follow a political career, and he became a member of AIMIM. In his journey up the ranks, he combined her work and achievements at the grassroots level of the constituency, a command over the administration, and his ability to mobilize the party activists and supporters. Most of his political journey has been based on the steadfast emotional and social bond with the people of Chandrayangutta.

One of the major themes of his political work has been the development of the constituency. He has taken special care with the improvement of the civic infrastructure, the health sectors, and the schools. He has been very active in the speeches and political interventions, which, in turn, have made him one of the most recognisable leaders of AIMIM.

In addition, he has been the party’s representative most times in important political discussions in Telangana. Although he was faced with many challenges, he strongly maintained his grip over his constituency by direct involvement and firm working methods through the organisation.
