Seeman is the Chief-coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Katchi political party. He is also an actor and Film Director by profession.
Seeman is known to be a campaigner for the rights of the Sri Lankan Tamil people and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. On 18 May 2010, the Naam Tamilar Iyakkam which was founded In 1958, by Adithanar was converted into the Naam Tamilar Katchi, with the Chief Coordinator of the Party. He stated that the party would be an alternative to the mainstream political outfits. He also claimed that the establishment of an independent Tamil Eelam would be the moral goal of not just the party but Tamils in Tamil Nadu.
On the other hand, Seeman took up film direction as a career after being inspired by the films of his mentor, Bharathi Raja, and the work of Manivannan. Seeman started his film career by directing Panchalankurichi and directed three more films that did not work well. He returned with a superhit film titled Thambi. Madhavan starred as the lead and released in 2006.
