Biography
Seeman took up film direction as a career after being inspired by the films of his mentor, Bharathi Raja and the work of Manivannan. Seeman started his career by directing Panchalankurichi. He directed 3 films which was not consider as a hit films. after that he took a long break from films.
In 2006, he came back with a successful film Thambi with actor Madhavan.
Seeman is known to be a campaigner for the rights of the Sri Lankan Tamil people and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. On 18 May 2010 the Naam Tamilar Iyakkam which was founded by In 1958, by Adithanar was converted into the Naam Tamilar Katchi, with Seeman the Chief Coordinator of the Party stating that the party would be an alternate political party different from the mainstream political outfits and also claiming that the establishment of an independent Tamil Eelam would be the moral goal of not just the party but Tamils in Tamil Nadu

3. Seeman continued to extend his support for Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and the ruling AIADMK during 2016 election campaign,He was condemned by some of his party members and also faced opposition from the head of his party's Youth Wing for supporting AIADMK
4.Seeman openly challenged Arunan a CPM party member that he would score more votes than their PWF alliance in the 2016 state assembly elections failing which he vowed to dissolve his party and join the CPM The party scored less than the alliance overall and even less than NOTA. For answering a question about the challange he replied that he challenged the Communists and not the Vijaykanth + makkal kootani alliance

Naam Tamilar has fielded K. Kalaikottudhayam as its candidate for R.K. Nagar by-election and contest under ‘Twin candles’ symbol. They occupied the fourth place with 3,860 votes and lost the deposit

Naam Tamilar Katchi contested on its own in all of the 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu as well as those in the districts of Puducherry and Karaikal. In this election his party managed to gain 458,104 votes

During the parliamentary elections in 2014, Seeman has stated that the Naam Tamilar Katchi would campaign for the defeat of the candidates fielded by the Congress, BJP and the DMDK
